What a great evening it was, lovely clear crisp and dry weather and crowds of people at the Christmas Market, lights switch on and fireworks display.
We went to the Brixham Deli (below) to warm up and after a lovely hot chocolate and a glass of mulled wine or two we were ready to go out into the cold to see the lights and the fireworks with a very warm feeling inside.
Here is Brixham looking very festive and jam packed with people
The Golden Hind all lit up
Looking across the inner harbour to the Fish Market
Crowds waiting for the lights and fireworks
A lovely shop window along The Quay
My first and very best attempt at firework photography
More pretty Christmas lights
I do love these boats
and what has to be the saddest looking tree I've seen so far-honestly close up it's a bit miserable!
The lantern procession was not at all easy to capture, so I'll try again at Dartmouth. Brixhams Christmas market was heaving and you could barely move never mind get the camera out. I bought a leather hat and hubby bought some great leather gloves and there were some pretty stalls. I hope my night time photos have come out ok, I used manual to get the right light and speed. It's very hard not to get camera shake and noise!
I hope I've left you all feeling sufficiently Christmassy.
